Parking Lot Shooting Under Investigation Behind Charles County Business: Sheriff (Developing)

The Charles County Sheriff's Office is on the hunt for a dark-colored vehicle possibly being driven by a shooter who attacked his victim behind a Waldorf business.

Officers were called at around 2:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon to a business in the 3600 block of Leonardtown Road, where there were reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, they found a person with a gunshot wound to the leg in the parking lot behind the business. The suspects reportedly fled in a dark vehicle following the shooting, according to investigators.

Detectives were at the scene as of 4 p.m. on March 11, though the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.

The incident remains under investigation.
